The Roca Gallery opens today in Shanghai, expanding the family of Roca Galleries worldwide to celebrate Design, Innovation, and Sustainability- echoing their global commitment to the environment and to lifestyles of well-being.
Mr. Gonzalo Ortiz, Consul General of Spain in Shanghai and Ms. Almudena Castanyer, Spanish Economic and Commercial office of Spain in Shanghai, participated in the gallery opening party, bringing their best wishes to Roca.
Roca Shanghai Gallery commands a captive presence and unique animated entertainment on the street of Caoxi Road Xuijiahui – with spectacular 5 meter LED window display screens depicting the natural “Rituals” of people’s daily life in the bathroom, seamlessly integrating Roca brand value and product collections for all the family’s well-being. The rituals video will be played on the window screen after 7 pm everyday—which will become a highlight and landmark in this area.
The family of Roca Galleries worldwide first opened in 2009 in Barcelona, Spain. Following that, Roca Group opened galleries in Madrid, Lisbon and the most recent one was in London. The London Gallery was designed by Pritzker prize winner Zaha Hadid and has already captured attention from all around the world due to its unique design and building conception. Roca Shanghai Gallery is now the 5th one, designed by Francese Rife, which continues the unique tradition of creating a very special space, where art, design and products combine in a very singular manner.
Emilio Salazar, Roca China Managing Director announced “We are very happy to tell you that last month Roca obtained the Spanish National Award in Marketing 2013 for Innovation due to the Roca gallery Concept.”
The Roca Shanghai Gallery will be a functional and flexible area where the Roca product showroom shares its space naturally with presentations, professional meetings and events on a variety of themes such as architecture, design, nature and sustainability-– the criteria being a celebration of design in keeping with the Roca brand and company values.
