Roca

Roca were back at the Business Design Centre in London in November 2023. The 2-day event that ran from 16th-17th November was a success for the UK & Ireland team who were there showcasing Roca’s latest launches to the hotel and interior design community.

A particular highlight was the playful design and bright colours of the Nu brassware collection. Nu is an exciting collection of taps designed by Inma Bermúdez and Moritz Krefter of Studio Inma Bermúdez. Nu takes its name from the French word for 'nude’, which inspired the designers to simplify the tap by eliminating unnecessary elements and retaining only what they considered essential.

Jon Bond, Head of UK Projects commented about the show; The trend towards coloured brassware in hospitality is well established, and the Nu collection takes that a step further by utilising bold non-metallic colours in a way which encapsulates the spirit and innovation of mediterranean design. Providing inspiration to the design community remains the most important function of HIX, and the Nu collection was the perfect way to start the conversation.

Hoteliers were among the first to appreciate the appeal of technological WCs. As such, visitors to HIX will have the opportunity to experience Roca’s intuitive range of smart toilets. One of the models on display will be the innovative In-Wash® Insignia shower toilet, operated via remote control. Functions include adjustable front and rear washing features, a heated seat, night light, and hands-free opening and closing of the toilet seat lid.

The Tura collection designed for Roca by Andreu Carulla was also on display at HIX 2023. Tura is a complete bathroom collection inspired by the vernacular of 20th century Barcelona architecture.
