Ruben Duggan from Coleg Y Cymoedd's Ystrad Mynach Campus has been announced as the winner of HIP Magazine’s HIP Learner of the Year 2022 award, beating five other regional finalists at the Worcester Bosch Headquarters in Worcester. The competition, sponsored by Roca, amongst other industry leaders, entails a live 12-hour practical test, carried out over 2 days, where finalists installed the Gap compact and coloured Naia brassware.
Head Judge Jerry Whiteley from Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE), commented: ‘The competition highlights tomorrow’s plumbers, the youth of today coming into the industry, and companies need to be a part of keeping that industry moving forwards.’
