Designed by Ennead Architects with Thomas Wong, the Shanghai Astronomy Museum combines scientific and cultural symbolism. Roca’s bathroom products were chosen for their clean, modern design and ability to withstand constant use in public spaces. The Gap WCs, Site urinals, Chic urinals concealed inlet, L20-E basin mixers and Berna undercounter basins offer a perfect balance of durability and style. The sensor-operated faucets and urinals provide a touch-free experience, improving hygiene and reducing water consumption at the same time. These features ensure that the bathrooms meet both the museum’s aesthetic standards and the practical requirements of maintaining a clean, durable space in high-traffic areas.

Roca was the company chosen by the organizers of the Olympic Games, as their products meet stringent requirements relating to water conservation. Accommodation in the Olympic Village, which housed the 16,000 athletes participating in the 2008 Olympic Games, is characterised by its use of renewable energy such as solar power which supplies part of the lighting, and by other environmental features such as the collection and recycling of rainwater.
