The top bathroom trends for 2023
Taking a look at the latest design trends for bathroom accessories is fantastic for inspiration and a great way to gather ideas you might not have considered, such as black basin taps, rain showers or a double shower. However, it’s important to pick a look you’re still going to love in a few years time so we’ve selected a few key trends that we think are here to stay. Trends such a green bathroom not only look stylish now but thanks to their timeless designs and simplicity, will last the test of time.
Metallics
There are a few ways you can introduce metallics into your bathroom scheme, and they can be as subtle or as ostentatious as you like. You might want to add accents, or go floor-to-ceiling with shimmering metallic tiles. The most obvious way to add metallics, whether you like gold, brass, copper or silver, is with brassware. A rose gold basin tap or shower mixer in a sleek, contemporary design would look striking with a white basin or against white tiles, or blend in beautifully with plaster-toned colours. Chrome is a favoured choice, and is timeless, but if you want to give it a more luxurious touch consider a period-style fitting. You don’t have to stop at taps and shower mixers, build upon the look with towel rails, light fittings or metallic frames. A bathroom mirror with light is a fantastic way to add to the glow, bouncing light off any metallic hints. And don’t be afraid to use mixed materials – there’s no reason why you can’t combine silver and gold tones for a striking effect, but do stick to one or two colourways, too many and your scheme could look confused.

For a while now it’s been fashionable to make the bathtub centre stage, creating an eye-catching focal point in the room. But it’s time to make way for bold basins and allow them to take the spotlight instead. This is especially effective if the basin is the first thing you see when you walk through the bathroom door, highlighted perhaps with a bathroom mirror with light hanging above. The best way to make the most of the basin area is to choose a freestanding or on counter basin, teamed with an extended height basin tap. You might like a square basin for a contemporary, angular look, or maybe something rounder and curved for a relaxed, serene feel. A bowl shaped basin can look really spectacular, especially in an alternative colourway such as Onyx or Coffee, teamed with on-trend black basin taps. Muted colours

Doubled up bathrooms

It does feel quite luxurious, but if you’re fortunate enough to have the budget and the space, on a practical level a double shower or basin area will help mornings flow much more easily.
